Starting January 1st for one year, I will attempt to record and upload a video every day. It may be anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes long. I will probably be doing some small exercises to get warmed up over the next few weeks.
Also, the flash player I am now using on this site apparently doesn’t work under Google Chrome on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Needless to say, I discovered this first hand. It does work under Safari, Firefox, Opera, Camino, and other browsers on Snow Leopard.
I finally got myself on some electronic components to add on to my Arduino. So, as a quick exercise, I programmed it to play a simple song. I chose Apex. The program is extremely simple, included two high brightness white LEDs, and only took three pins on the device (8, 9, and 13).

I am starting up a new project for Mac and iPhone. It is simply an affordable point of sale solution for retail businesses. As I have never done much development for Mac, then I can safely say that this project will take a good bit of work. I will release more information on this project along with screenshots as it progresses. Just a small heads up: there will be little progress on this project and others until mid-December. There are finals, projects, and papers I must first survive.
I have been testing Google Wave for a couple of weeks and can easily conclude that it is devoid of activity. However, that can be fixed if more people were to join.

I actually write posts quite often. And quite often, I decide to refrain from publishing them. They tend to become too cynical in many cases as I’m writing them late at night. However, I might as well post one sooner or later, so here is a small thought on the topic of birthdays:
Recently, a ton of friends of mine are having birthdays. This got me thinking as to the celebration of birthdays. Why do we wish a person “Happy Birthday” when they clearly aren’t being born today? Shouldn’t a birthday refer to the day on which the person was born? Plus, maybe the mother should take the credit as she went through the most pain on the person’s birthday.
Instead of saying “Happy Birthday,” I propose that we instead say “Congratulations on surviving yet another year on this miserable rock!”

Today at noon, the Penn State Nittany Lions will be putting on a fight up at Beaver Stadium. The game will be broadcasted by TV channels and radio stations. During the game, visit my ustream channel to get a behind the scenes view of The LION 90.7 FM’s broadcast of Penn State Nittany Lions Football. The ustream broadcast will start between 10 AM and 11 AM Eastern Time with the broadcast of the game starting around 11:40 AM.
No, I will not be in Beaver Stadium but will instead be in the studio in the HUB. We send three commentators up to Beaver Stadium who dial in to the studio to handle the broadcast, though.
Have a suggestion for a song to play during half-time? Feel free to request it either here or during the game. If you want to call in to the studio, the number is (814) 865-WKPS (9577).

I will post on my twitter profile when the ustream broadcast goes online. Warning, the broadcast may go down numerous times. The wireless in the studio is really poor.
I’m assuming that you are relatively new to Python and django; and that you have them installed. I will try to make the material of this tutorial as simple as possible.
